Welcome to stopthespending.us!  Please leave your party affiliation at the door!  This website is about TRUTH, and doing what's right for America, not party loyalty.

This site is dedicated to stopping the ridiculous and seemingly unending spending spree that the politicians of both parties in Washington have been perpetrating on the American taxpayer.  Far too many of those in Congress have forgotten what their job truly is, and who they're really there to represent.  All too often they represent their party first, unions, special interests, and campaign donors second, and somewhere along the way decide to tell us they represent us, the common folks who are paying for all this!

If there was ever a time to return to the Constitution, its now!

Please Note: This website is privately designed and funded. It is not associated with any political organization, nor is anyone profiting from it. This is not the website mentioned by Mark Levin, or Rush Limbaugh.

(The US Capitol Building)

We the People of the United State of America, in order to reclaim the power that has been stripped from us by special interests and big campaign donors, have established this website to remind those in Washington of all political party affiliation exactly who they are truly there to represent, who pays their salaries, and who pays for all these immense programs they're salivating over and trying to force upon us!

(The White House)

Regardless of your personal party affiliation or political views, you must surely realize that the spending spree Washington has undertaken will not only bankrupt the nation and devalue our currency, but will also create a mountain of debt that our children, and our children's children, will be paying off in higher taxes while having lesser government services available to them.

Some US citizens believe that those in power are for whatever reason, intentionally creating these economic problems. While I'm sure we'd all like to believe that isn't true, it does not dismiss the fact that despite trillion dollar annual deficits they continue to spend billions upon billions for programs that will have little effect on the recession, and do little to foster economic growth. They are simply 'throwing money at the problem'. The money they are using is not theirs to throw around.

One prime example is the health care reform package that is currently being debated in congress. I say debated loosely as there is little actual multi-party debate on the issue. Despite President Obama's promises of total transparency throughout the health care reform process, single-party talks continue behind closed doors. This has lead to distrust and a lack of accountability. It has been shown by numerous polls from multiple sources that a substantial majority of Americans do not support this legislation. Yet, there continues to be talk of using a so called 'nuclear option' whereby this legislation will be forced through congress and to the President's desk. To do so would prove beyond any doubt, that the people who are supposed to be respresenting us are failing to do so. This could be construed as taxation without representation! This was among the reasons this country was founded in the first place.... to escape tyranical power that did as they pleased, despite how it would affect average citizens, and despite their outspoken objections. One must wonder what our founding fathers would say about our government today.

The first petition that has been created on this website, is to show Washington two things. First, that we will support no further spending until the budget is under control and multi-party debates resume. Second, will be that if the so called 'nuclear option' is used, we will organize nationally to make every possible effort toward seeing that any Senator or Representative that goes along with it, will not get another term of office! Some far-left actors such as Bill Marr have been quoted as saying "people are stupid, we should just drag them to it". We are here to say that if you drag us to it, we'll drag you right out of office!
